Is it Recession Here? What to do?
    by Ernest Ionescu

Considering just Michigan with auto industries consolidation, trimming jobs and the big number of residential and commercial real estate in foreclosure the answer is, yes. The economy is doing badly; the equity market is down and oil prices up. A good number of people consider moving to other states. Others just did it; their number is not significant so far.

My personal answer is certainly not right now, because we are bouncing from the bottom of recession as we speak.
I see for myself the General Motors, Ford and Daimler-Chrysler cars are a lot nicer, better and last longer than Toyota already.

The people perception is lagging the reality. When everybody is complaining about bad economy and recession, I know for sure we are in our way to recovery and not only because is spring again.
Jobs in service, food and health industries are not hard to find. At the other end of the spectrum the computer programming jobs are in high demand and pays good. Computer skills are and will be in demand.

There is a big shift in people minds too; more get interested in e-commerce. There is a lot of competition on web marketing. Some make money selling get rich quick with marketing his seminar or a wonder program. They say: "Relax the computer will do the work for you." It is a lot of spam on the web.

Everybody with a computer is dreaming to give up the fix 9 to 5 commuting job and make a life from home with e-commerce.

The catch is you will end up working 60 to70 hours a week instead of 40 and no benefits for a while. When the money does not come as planned the under-capitalization kills your home job. There is a very steep learning curve and only few succeed. It is like in any other business, after three years only 5% are still working their dream.

Is it a matter of persistence? Sure it is. People I know buy houses to repair and sell them, and they are doing fine and have fun in the process. The wife is working a job, pays the mortgage and the spouse is repairing fast the house. Is it labor intensive? Yes it is.

Having a job, any job, and built on the side your business is how most succeed. Sorry, there is no get rich quick recipe here.

I am trying to help you with both the real estate idea and the e-commerce business but you have to read the "Home" page and "About this Site" at invest-manage-properties.com. (see link)You may subscribe to "Sharing with You" our free newsletter at "About Us" page for updates.
